Trained in the law, he gave it up to write profession- ally. Zagat is noted for his collaborations with fellow lawyer Nat Schach- ner. Zagat wrote about 500 stories that appeared in a variety of pulp magazines including Thrilling Wonder Stories, Argosy and Astounding.
